He has represented startups, angel investors, and venture capital groups as well as publicly held and private corporations in industries ranging from precision manufacturing to high-growth technology to commercial food production to multi-family residential housing.
Bill began tax advising in response to the Tax Reform Act (TRA) of 1986 and has been preparing tax returns for over 20 years. He is also a professor at both Northeastern University and Boston University teaching tax planning, accounting, and finance courses. Bill is an Enrolled Agent (EA), a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)

Erik Potter is the founding partner of Potter MacLellan LLP and a graduate of Boston College, where he received a Bachelor’s degree in political science and philosophy. Mr. Potter earned his Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School in 2005. In addition to being a licensed attorney he is a licensed real estate broker.
Eric has over fifteen years of public accounting experience with large Boston based regional accounting firms. He specializes in financial reporting including review and compilation engagements, as well as corporate, partnership, and individual taxation. Eric has a broad range of industry expertise including closely-held businesses, retailers, food and hospitality companies, manufacturers and distributors, commercial and residential real-estate, and professional services firms.
